Based in Acle – Serving the heart of Norfolk
Every Peace of Mind Service includes a comprehensive inspection covering key safety, battery, tyre, electrical, and performance checks.
Each service typically takes around 60–90 minutes, allowing time to properly assess your equipment rather than rushing through a quick inspection.
We’ll also happily provide preventative maintenance advice to help prolong the life of your scooter or powerchair.
Our mobile workshop allows us to complete the vast majority of repairs and servicing directly at your home.
No loading scooters into cars - No stressful workshop visits.
Just straightforward local support that comes to you.
If workshop facilities are needed, collection and return can also be arranged.

THRIFTY SAYS
A proper service is about much more than “giving it a quick once over”. Alongside the standard checks, we also look closely at the overall condition, structural integrity, and any signs of wear that could become future safety concerns.
A lot of the problems we find during servicing are things customers simply wouldn’t spot themselves until the scooter starts developing faults later on.
THRIFTY TIP
Please make sure your scooter has been fully charged for at least 8 hours before your appointment. This helps us properly assess battery condition during the service.
Full battery discharge testing can take up to 24 hours and is therefore offered separately from our mobile servicing appointments if required.
Keeping batteries charged correctly and tyres inflated properly can make a huge difference to the reliability and lifespan of your scooter.
Honest Servicing Without the Sales Pressure
At Thrifty Mobility, servicing is about safety, reliability, and helping you avoid unnecessary breakdowns — not trying to sell parts you don’t need.
If we spot a problem, we’ll explain it clearly and honestly before any work is carried out.
If something doesn’t need replacing, we’ll tell you.
If something isn’t worth repairing, we’ll tell you that too.
Mobile Servicing Across Norfolk
Our mobile workshop allows us to carry out the vast majority of servicing appointments directly at your home across Norfolk.
Good Honest Service That Comes To You!
Should any further work be required following your service, we aim to provide a quotation within 24 hours.
Collection and return can also be arranged if needed.
Most customers are surprised how thorough a mobile service can actually be.
THRIFTY SAYS
We’d rather build long-term trust than pressure customers into unnecessary repairs or replacements.
THRIFTY TIP
Regular servicing often helps spot smaller issues before they become much more expensive faults later on.

Why Regular Servicing Matters
Regular servicing can help identify small issues before they become larger, more expensive problems.
It also helps keep your scooter or powerchair performing safely, reliably, and comfortably throughout the year.
From battery performance and tyre condition to brakes, steering, and electrical systems, routine checks help give added confidence and peace of mind.
THRIFTY SAYS
Mobility equipment is something people rely on daily, so preventative maintenance is always better than waiting until something suddenly fails.
THRIFTY TIP
Even if your scooter “feels fine”, batteries, brakes, and electrical components can still gradually deteriorate over time without obvious warning signs.
